March 21, 2018

TORONTO (March 21, 2018) – The Rexall Foundation has donated $10,000 to Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital to support the Spiral Garden program, an integrated outdoor art, garden and play program that provides support and enriching experiences for kids with and without disabilities. The donation will ensure 16 kids can take part in a full week program, run by professional artists, support and medical staff, and experience fun, community, art, inclusion and nature at camp.

“The Rexall Foundation is pleased to provide children a magical summer camp experience, where they may not have had the opportunity to otherwise,” said Paul Matteis, Board Member, Rexall Foundation. “The Rexall Foundation is committed to improving the health and wellness of children in Canada and continues to help children live healthy and active lifestyles. We are proud to send children to camp to play, create and have fun as every child should!”

“Spiral Garden’s free-flowing structure is empowering. In the Garden, kids get to make their own choices and be affirmed in them. The Rexall Foundation’s donation of $10,000 will go a long way to providing participants an enriching experience,” said Malinda DenBok, Senior Development Officer, Corporate Sponsorships, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation. “The generous donation from The Rexall Foundation will have a powerful impact for kids with disabilities, and give them an experience like no other.”

The Rexall Foundation has been helping build strong and vibrant communities by supporting numerous charitable organizations since 2002. Whether it’s a community or children’s hospital or a disease prevention organization, the Foundation values the role it plays in helping the delivery of numerous programs and services in Canada.
