High Risk & Priority Populations are now eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations. Please book an appointment or walk-in to a Rexall pharmacy today.The general public can begin walking in or booking appointments starting Monday, October 27th.
High Risk & Priority Populations include:

All adults 65 years of age or older
-
Those 6 months of age and older who are:
-
residents of long-term care homes and other congregate living settings
-
individuals with underlying medical conditions that place them at higher risk of severe COVID-19, including children with complex health needs
-
pregnant women and individuals who are pregnant
-
individuals in or from First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities
-
members of racialized and other equity-denied communities
-
health care workers and other care providers in facilities and community settings

If it has been at least 3 months since your last COVID-19 vaccine or infection, you're eligible for an updated dose this season. While a 6-month interval is ideal for a stronger immune response, getting vaccinated earlier is still safe and protects you heading into respiratory illness season.
Most individuals are advised to receive one dose per year however the following are recommended to receive two doses annually:

Adults aged 80 and older
-
Residents of congregate living settings (e.g., retirement homes)

Individuals who are moderately to severely immunocompromised
- Adults aged 65 to 79 who are at increased risk may also consider a second annual dose.
