Ontario
High Risk & Priority Populations are now eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations.
Book an appointment (opens in new tab) or walk-in today.
*Subject to vaccine availability and eligibility.
Starting on Monday, October 26, 2026, anyone 6 months of age and older who lives, works, or goes to school in Ontario can get a free COVID-19 vaccine.
High Risk & Priority Populations include:
-
All adults 65 years of age or older
-
Those 6 months of age and older who are:
-
Residents of long-term care homes and other congregate living settings
-
Individuals with underlying medical conditions that place them at higher risk of severe COVID-19, including children with complex health needs
-
Pregnant women and individuals
-
Individuals in or from First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities
-
Members of underserved communities
-
Healthcare workers, first responders, and other care providers in facilities and community settings
If it has been at least 3 months since your last COVID-19 vaccine or infection, you may be eligible for an updated dose this season. While a 6-month interval is ideal for a stronger immune response, getting vaccinated earlier is still safe and effective.
-
Most individuals are advised to receive one dose per year. However, the following are recommended to receive two doses annually (fall and spring):
-
Adults aged 80 and older
-
Residents of long-term care homes who are aged 18 and older
-
Residents of congregate living settings (e.g., retirement homes) who are aged 65 years and older
-
Individuals who are moderately to severely immunocompromised
-
Adults aged 65 to 79 with an underlying medical condition
-
Individuals aged 55 years and older who identify as First Nations, Inuit, or Metis and their non-Indigenous household members aged 55 years and older
Adults aged 65-79 without an underlying condition are also at high-risk of COVID-19 disease and should receive one dose as soon as it becomes available in the fall AND may receive an additional dose in the spring.
Staying up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccinations is crucial for protecting yourself and those around you. For more information: https://www.ontario.ca/page/covid-19-vaccines
*Please note there may be a decreased immune response to the vaccine, but has not shown to pose a safety risk, when provided sooner than the recommended 6-month period by National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI).
*Based on vaccine availability and eligibility.
