    In Canada, a newcomer can be an immigrant, refugee, or temporary resident such as a student, who recently moved from their home country to Canada, usually within the last 5 years.

  • What are “minor illnesses” and how can a Rexall Pharmacist help?

    Rexall Pharmacists can assess your health and prescribe medications for various common medical conditions known as "minor illnesses".

    Minor illnesses are common health conditions that are short-term, require minimal treatment and don’t require lab tests, such as uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs), allergies, and heartburn.

  • How can a Rexall Pharmacist help newcomers to Canada with prescriptions?

    Rexall Pharmacists can help newcomers with prescription management. This includes renewing or extending chronic medications, changing dosages or formulations, as well as assessing and writing new prescriptions for certain conditions in some provinces.

    Our pharmacists can also help newcomers find similar medications in Canada to what they were taking in their home country, and in some cases, prescribe alternatives.

  • How can Rexall Pharmacists help me manage my medication?

    Medication Management is a service we offer to all Rexall customers, including those new to Canada, where our pharmacists help you organize your medication and make sure they work together.

    This program includes helpful features to make managing your medication easier. With Auto Refill and Rexall RightDose, you won’t have to worry about running out of your medicine. Our Pharmacy team keeps track of when your prescription refills are due and prepares them for you in advance. If you don’t have any refills left, we’ll contact your doctor ahead of time to help avoid delays.
